The newest part of the Shire. It was granted by Elessar the King of the Reunited realm less than 50 years ago. Fastred Faribairn, son-in-law of Samwise Gamgee became the first Warden here, now his son Elfstan continues those duties.

No New Posts West Farthing

By far the largest Farthing in the Shire. Inside it is probably one of the best known towns in the whole of this region. Hobbiton was the home of Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, though they have traveled across the sea, their descendants still remain to carry on their story.

No New Posts North Farthing

One of the other very large Farthings, the North Farthing is relatively unknown by outsiders. The farthest north settlement in the Shire is Greenfields, and that is where gold got it's name, for interesting reasons...

The best known lands in the Shire. The main reason for this is their very popular pipeweed. Even Saruman was willing to pay big bucks to import it to Orthanc so he could use it to relax when things got tough.

By far the smallest of the Farthings. It is also one of the most populated. Brandybuck hall is a huge complex of passegways and halls. Some hobbit even believe there is a guarded treasure deep in it's undercellars.
